Hostels Online

Hostels Online for Nottinghamshire was officially launched by the Housing Minister, Hilary Armstrong on the 6th August 1999.

Developed as a pilot project by HLG and the London based charity Resource Information Service (RIS). Hostels Online is an Internet website which allows advice agencies working with homeless people and those in housing need, to access comprehensive information about hostels and supported housing projects, including referral criteria, referral procedure, target group, hostel facilities and details of the support provided.

Hostels Online for Nottinghamshire is an extension to the scheme which was first established by RIS in London and now includes details of over 1000 supported housing projects across the UK. In some parts of the country the website also displays up to date vacancy information, although this service is not available in Nottinghamshire.

Access to the website is restricted to registered users.  Due to the imminent launch of Homeless UK we are no longer taking registrations for Nottinghamshire Hostels Online. Further information about the Homeless UK website can be found at  www.homelessuk.org
