Rent arrears can cause considerable difficulties for anyone who wants to sustain accommodation or be rehoused and is fast becoming one of the most common causes of homelessness today. Understanding how to deal successfully with rent arrears is critical to homelessness prevention work.
Aim:
This course aims to introduce ways of working effectively with people who have rent arrears and explores some of the practical issues which need to be addressed by front line workers. At the end of the course you should feel confidents in helping your service users deal with existing rent arrears and avoid future arrears.
