Managing Aggression & Violence

This one day course is intended for workers who are primarily dealing with clients/residents/service users and may be faced with aggression or violence in the workplace. The training aims to develop your confidence and skills when faced with such situations and will encompass the recognition and avoidance of potential conflict and elements of personal safety training.

Course Content Includes:

• Types of aggression

• Coping skills for diffusing and managing incidentsDealing with fear

• Responding to anger

• Physical aggression – avoidance and breakaways

• Action planning
