Equality & Diversity

This one-day course gives an overview of the main issues most of us need to be aware of with regard to this vast topic. It deals with the issues in a straightforward and non jargonistic manner and aims to promote honest discussion so we can all learn from each other.

Aim

To enhance participants knowledge and understanding of equality issues and their confidence in dealing with diverse colleagues and clients.

Course Content Includes

 What are the major pieces of equality law that we all need to be mindful of, and what do some of the key words actually mean
 What impact can discrimination and prejudice have on individuals and groups
 How can we recognise our own prejudices and question them effectively
 How can we best challenge inappropriate language or behaviour in others
