Achieving level B and A in the New QAF

Six years into the Supporting People regime the Quality Assessment Framework has been redrafted to ensure it continues to meet the needs of the operating environment within Social Care. Commissioners want to ensure that contracts are agreed with providers who can meet high quality criteria, develop and maintain good partnerships and deliver excellent outcomes for service users.

This two-day course is designed to give participants the skills and confidence to identify current activity that meets the performance criteria of the redrafted QAF B and A standards. The course will also give participants an opportunity to identify activity that needs to be developed to achieve level B and A 

DAY 1

About the redrafted QAF, Outcomes and Performance Indicators

·        Why the QAF was redrafted

·        An overview of key themes throughout the QAF

·        Understanding measuring outcomes and the implications on current practice

·        National performance indicators and the effects on Social Care activity and Partnership. 

Assessment and Support Planning

·         Overview of levels B and A

·        SWOT analysis of current activity

·        Partnership case study

·        Action planning 

DAY 2

Fair Access, Diversity and Inclusion

·        Overview of levels B and A

·        Force Field analysis of current activity

·        Action planning 

Safeguarding and Protection from Abuse

·        Overview of levels B and A

·        SWOT analysis of current activity

·        Setting a critical path to meet the criteria

·        Action planning 

Client Involvement and Empowerment 

·        Overview of levels B and A 

This course will potentially contribute to the learning needs of a comprehensive range of NOS health and Care standards, the principal standards are NOS Health and Social Care Level 3 core unit HSC 22 23

NOS Management unit A1 B1 B3 B4 and C2
