Service User Groups

Walkers Group
HLG has managed to secure funding for the Walkers Group for another year, so that is good news! We will be doing a mixture of half day and longer walks and will use public transport to get there. In the past we have been to Sherwood Forest, Bestwood Park, Wollaton Park, Rufford Park, walks along the canal and many more.
The walks are very relaxed and we always go at the speed of the slowest person so no one is left out. We will provide water and snacks so don’t worry if you don’t have them. We will also get some waterproof coats which people can borrow for the walks.
If you have any ideas for good places to walk please let your worker know or leave suggestions with reception.

Art Group
HLG's art group is run in conjuction with City Arts and has been meeting for almost four years now. It is a place to come and use art to express yourself and your ideas, a place to meet new friends and to gain confidence in working as a group.
The group meets on Thursdays from 10-12. If you would like to walk to the group from HLG's office with a worker, please arrive at HLG for 9.30am.

Vice Versa - Service User Newsletter
This newsletter acts as a platform for service user's views, poetry, letters, interviews and articles. It is published once every 3 months, and is supported by Simon Mitchell, HLGs Service User Involvement Worker. For more information please click here.
