Who are our service users?
People who use HLG's Direct Services can take part in involvement activities. These are people who use the Housing Support Team, Drug Support Team or Mental Health Support Team. People can get as involved as they want to in HLGs work.
What we mean by involvement
Involvement means that everyone has the chance to join in to help plan and provide services together – instead of one group planning and doing things for or to another group of people. Involvement means:
-
People give, receive and discuss ideas and opinions
-
People plan and work together
-
People share control and responsibility
Coming along for the first time
Getting involved can be scary and trying something new for the first time can be hard. If you haven’t been to one of the activities or service user involvement meetings at HLG before and you would like to find out more about getting involved please speak to either Julie Wibberley or Becky Sayer on 0115 9565313 who can arrange to meet you to have a chat.
