Derbyshire Homeless Watch 2010
The Derbyshire Homeless Watch Survey 2010 is Derbyshire's third Homeless Watch survey; an annual shapshot of homelessness across the county. For two weeks we are asking participating agencies to use the survey form to record details of everyone who presents as homeless to their project from Monday 27th September to Sunday 10th October 2010 .
Information from the survey will be used by a range of organisations to analyse levels of homelessness and the support needs of homeless people to ensure a sufficient range of services are available to meet those needs.

Homeless Watch surveys have been conducted in
Nottinghamshire over the last five years and are a key source of information about Homelessness in the County. Last year,
Northamptonshire also took part in Homeless Watch for the first time.
Step By Step Guide To Taking Part In Derbyshire Homeless Watch 2010

303 Homeless adults presented to the Homeless Watch Survey 2009, including 13 people who presented two or more times.

122 dependent children were recorded by the survey bringing total presentations to 425.
- 49 agencies took part in Homeless Watch, 50% down on the number of agencies who participated last year (94).
- 47 people who presented as homeless were reported as sleeping rough.
- The districts with the highest number of homeless presentations were Chesterfield (94) Derby City (64) Amber Valley (40) and High Peak (39).

The majority of individuals presenting as homeless were men (63%).
