The BME Homelessness Workers Forum aims to build networks, raise awareness of BME issues and to promote good practice by sharing knowledge and experiences in a safe and supportive space.

Membership is open to all BME workers in the homelessness sector

The BME Homelessness Workers Forum aims:

  • To protect and promote equality and diversity within the sector.
  • To work in partnership with organisations seeking to develop strategies and policies.
  • To seek to be innovative in raising awareness of the cultural and religious sensitivities of BME communities living in Nottingham.
  • To share good practice across providers.
  • To support other similar Forums in the City and the County.
  • To influence the development of services to BME communities.
  • To foster a supportive environment where workers can share experiences within a confidential setting.

When and where do we meet:

Forum meetings are held at HLG (21 Clarendon Street, Nottingham) and Tuntum (Beech Avenue) offices. All meetings run from 9.30am to 11.00am. Minutes from previous meetings are available here.

Meetings dates are as follows:-

  • Thursday 23rd May at 9.30am at Tuntum Head Office, Beech Avenue, Nottingham
  • Thursday 4th July at 9.30am at HLG, 21 Clarendon Street, Nottingham
  • Thursday 8th August at 9.30am at Tuntum Head Office, Beech Avenue, Nottingham
