When clients approach you with bailiffs letters, demands for Council Tax or summons’ from the County Court, do you know how best to advise and help them? Shopacheck and Provident are knocking on the door, what do you tell them?
This course is designed for you. For homeless or other socially disadvantaged people, the day to day management of a very limited income is a constant battle. There are no magic wands but armed with relevant information and useful strategies you will be able to either answer you clients’ questions or point them in the direction of someone who can.
Course content includes:
· Income maximisation
· How to produce a budget to include priority and non-priority debt
· Negotiation with creditors
· Strategies for dealing with Rent/mortgage, including:
Arrears
Council tax
Utilities
Bailiffs
County Court Judgements/Fines
Non-priority creditors
