GENERAL FIRST AID |
Course Aims:
As hostel, housing or day centre workers, there may be situations which require you to administer first aid to residents or colleagues. This one day certificated course is designed to equip you with basic first aid skills.
Course Content Includes:
· Incident management
· Assessment and care of unconscious casualties
· Resuscitation skills
· Blood loss and shock
· Burns and scalds
· Injuries to eyes
· Choking
· Hypothermia/Exposure
· Medical Emergencies

Participants whose practical skills are deemed to be of a satisfactory level will be awarded the Basic First Aid Certificate – valid for 3 years. There is no formal examination. Skills are assessed throughout and during the final practical scenarios. |
